The new mixer in energyXT2 gives a good overview of all the audio channels in the project. For VST
instruments with multiple outs, theres an option hide unused channel, thereby saving lots of screen space.
To open the mixer, press F9.
The mixer strip For each audio channel in VST instruments and audio tracks, there is a mixer strip. On the mixer strip you have volume, pan, mute, solo, insert FX, aux sends, trim and a 4-band equalizer.Insert and send FX The mixer strip has two effect sections, the topmost is for send effects and the lower section is for insert effects. Insert effects are always loaded into the mixer channel, while send effects are global and shared by all mixer channels in the project.To load effects, just drag and drop VST effetcs from the browser into the send or insert section in the mixer. Group channels energyXT2 lets you add as many group channels as you want. Group channels are used for sub-mixing 2 or more audio signal, like drum and bass. Group channels, can have insert and sends, just like any other mixer channel. To add a group channel, click the Add group button.Automation All mixer controls can be automated from the sequencer or from an external MIDI keyboard by using the new controller maps.FX/EQ You can toggle between FX and EQ view, just click on the FX and EQ buttons on the mixer strip.
