Tutorials - Track freeze
When running out of CPU, freezing tracks is one of the things you can do to free up resources. When freezing tracks, energyXT will render the output of VST instruments or audio tracks to a wav file, thereby bypassing processing if Instruments and FX. You are still be able to use the mixer volume, pan, mute, solo and automation after a track is frozen. Audio folder Before you can freeze tracks, you need to setup a audio folder for the project so that energyXT2 knows where to store the frozen wav files. In File > Setup, go to the Project tab and click the Create audio folder button.
Freezing a track To freeze a track, simply select Freeze from the track menu or press Ctrl + F. When a track is frozen, you can still edit the track but you will not hear the changes until you un-freeze it.
