Redeyetheatre - the making of "Kundalin Grimoire"

The band is called the Redeyetheatre and their music is perhaps like HP Lovecraft's novel sugared with Abba's pop hook, electronic pop/rock with a little bit of industrial - I suppose we are not easy to put into any genre, Markus concludes. The band has recently released their second album called "Kundalin grimoire", and everything has been made in energyXT.

Markus

Markus Strand is doing songwriting, programming and studio editing in the band, Redeyetheatre.

Redeyetheatre is counting three members; Saara-Maria Rantanen, Lena Boone and Markus Strand. Their driving desire to create music unifies the band despite the fact that Lena is living in the US, and the remaining two in the Northern outskirts of Finland. Markus explains how they do it - I typically start by making an instrumental track in XT, perhaps with a demo vocal in it, then Saara-Maria starts working on the lyrics and vocal methods. When I am working with Lena we do the same thing, however in this case I just send the tracks over the internet, and if she records something in her studio, she sends the tracks back to me, and then I put it all together. Both Markus and Lena plays guitar and keyboard, but they also use the built-in XT synthesizer and other external VST plug-ins in order to create special effects and other sounds.

The user-interface of XT helps me focus on music creation instead of spending my time going through endless menus... "XT is simply smaller, faster and better :)"

Kundaling Grimoire

The album "Kundalin grimoire" is 100% made in energyXT.

Markus has used a lot of different music creation softwares over the years, and before XT he was using Sonar. - It has been a long road for me. Nothing against Sonar, but XT is so much faster and easier to work with. Without a doubt, there are people who want and need every single feature some software offers, but in my opinion putting to many features inside one single software just makes even simple things difficult. The user-interface of XT helps me focus on music creation instead of spending my time going through endless menus in order to find what I need at a given moment. XT is simply smaller, faster and better:) Check out their album on www.redeyetheatre.com.
